The importance of meeting deadlines in business and education is that you will not fall behind in what you are working on.  It is important because you need to keep up with every one else that is in your class or if you are doing something for a job you should not slack off.  In business you might have to do paper work and if you dont get the dead line you might get a write up or even fired. So that is why it is important to get dead lines in business.  In education if you dont meet the dead lines you might get a zero for the project your working on.  You might also not no what to do if the project you are working on leads to another project then again you will fall behind in the class on that project.
